Building means a house, commercial building or industrial building, or any structure, but does not include a residential designed manufactured home, modular home, trailer house or manufactured or mobile home.

It shall be unlawful for any person to move or cause to be moved, any building into the city without first having obtained a permit to do so issued by the city council of the city.

Before any such permit shall be issued, the building shall be inspected by the city building inspector, and certified to be in compliance with all applicable city codes. Each applicant shall pay $12.50 to the city for the permit when making application therefore and shall pay for all costs incurred by the building inspector.

Before any permit shall be issued by the governing body, the applicant for the permit shall post a performance bond in an amount to be set by the council either in cash or by a commercial bonding company assuring that all construction work necessary for occupant of the building has been completed pursuant to all applicable city codes within the time limit of the permit to be set by the city council of the city.

The owner shall suffer no work to be performed on any building which is moved into the city under the auspices of a moving permit, without first obtaining an appropriate building permit therefor, and all such work shall comply with all building codes, rules and regulations appertaining thereto.

Nothing in this article shall prohibit the moving of buildings within or through the corporate units of the city.
